A recent Herald News article,\u00a0\u201cFall River attractions foresee more visitors in \u201822<\/a>,\u201d\u00a0focused on three of Fall River\u2019s attractions: Battleship Cove, Lizzie Borden House\u00a0and Al Macs diner.\u00a0My family visited the Battleship when the kids were younger and we drop in to Al Macs several times per year.\u00a0\u00a0I have not visited the Lizzie Borden House, as it\u2019s a bit too macabre\u00a0for me.<\/p>\n

There are more city attractions.\u00a0Among them are\u00a0The\u00a0Historical Society, the Narrows Center for the Arts, the Children’s\u00a0Museum and\u00a0the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, to name a few.<\/p>\n

I have always been a proponent of making Fall River a destination, or at least a stop along the way to a destination.\u00a0Fall River is not quite there, in my opinion, although there seems to be some movement in the right direction.<\/p>\n

Our city needs to find ways to bring outside money into the city.\u00a0There need\u00a0to be multiple things to make out-of-town visitors (families?) want to come here and spend a night or two.<\/p>\n
