The iconic Gates of the City, or Portas Da Cidade, are located on Ponta Delgada Boulevard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This monument is a replica of the Gates of the City in Ponta Delgada, which is Fall River\u2019s sister city in the Azores. The Azores is a group of 9 islands off the coast of Portugal. Fall River is home to a great many Azorean Portuguese immigrants and their descendants, and this influence remains evident in the city\u2019s culture, architecture, and cuisine to this day. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
