Park along Wilson Road&nbsp;(rough&nbsp;road alert)&nbsp;and find&nbsp;a&nbsp;sign&nbsp;for the trail&nbsp;just before you reach the&nbsp;Watuppa&nbsp;Pond causeway.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.heraldnews.com\/gcdn\/presto\/2021\/07\/05\/NHER\/4ff4573f-36f3-44a4-8d58-c1c3004f66fb-tattapanum.JPG?width=660&amp;height=495&amp;fit=crop&amp;format=pjpg&amp;auto=webp\" alt=\"A rough stone wall on the Tattapanum Trail in Fall River.\" style=\"width:665px;height:499px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">A rough stone wall on the Tattapanum Trail in Fall River. <em>Dan Medeiros<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Durfee\u2019s Mill Pond:<\/strong>&nbsp;A 3-mile loop that starts near the mill pond on Dr. Nathan Durfee\u2019s old property.&nbsp;Get there&nbsp;via&nbsp;Freetown&#8217;s High Street, which turns into Bell Rock Road. Leave your car in the parking lot on Bell Rock Road and walk about a mile south to the trailhead, or drive closer to the trailhead and leave your car along the side of the road \u2014 to find the trailhead, look for a tree sign marked &#8220;DD1.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Freetown Ledge:<\/strong>&nbsp;A 3-mile loop that takes you on both the upper and lower ledge roads around the old quarry pond. Approach from Freetown&#8217;s High Street, which turns into Bell Rock Road.&nbsp;Park on&nbsp;Bell Rock Road near a gate marked Ledge Road, or use the parking lot just a quarter-mile south.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shockley Trail:<\/strong>&nbsp;A 4-mile loop that&nbsp;takes you&nbsp;through&nbsp;the&nbsp;Copicut&nbsp;Woods on Trustees land. Get there via Westport on Blossom Road, and use the&nbsp;Copicut&nbsp;parking lot on Indian Town Road.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Homestead Loop:&nbsp;<\/strong>About 1 mile loop on city-owned land along the eastern side of North&nbsp;Watuppa&nbsp;Pond.
