In this workshop, stage performers and tax specialists Amy Smith and Akeem Davis bring a class- and race-based analysis of our economic structures and dive into the financial building blocks necessary for artists to thrive. This is a 4-part series. Artists are welcome to attend all or select sessions: SESSION 1: Our relationship with money, and setting financial goals.SESSION 2: How to value one’s time to build toward savings and retirement.SESSION 3: Budgeting for your life and credit/debt management.SESSION 4: An intro to investing, with an eye toward handling the unexpected and long-term planning. In order to create a safer space to discuss difficult issues, this workshop will not be recorded. How it works Registrants will pay $25 and that provides them with a ticket for on-board karaoke and light bites at 2 restaurants, Shorty's Pub & Primo on Water Street. Drinks are NOT included and will be purchased by the registrant at each restaurant. We will board the trolley at the Gates of the City and set off promptly at 5:30PM. Itinerary (approximate) *Please note, beverages are NOT included in the $25 ticket price.
