The collection earned the vocal-trading, instrument-swapping collective their national TV debut, sold out headline dates around the US and Europe, a performance at the Sundance Film Festival, and a song in the Paramount+ series Tulsa King. Formed and led by drummer Tom Major in 1993 while on hiatus from touring with Rock legend Bo Diddley, Entrain has been blessed with a list of top tier musicians over the years. Among them and often joining Tom is lead singer/guitar wiz Brian Alex. Joining them is bassist M'Talewa, saxophonist/keys/percussionist Rob Loyot, saxophonist/percussionist Hilary Noble and Trombone/keys Lennie Peterson Veterans all, their collective resume includes stints with such diverse players as Bo Diddley, Carly Simon, Chuck Berry, Southside Johnny, James Mongomery, Gary Burton, and Blood, Sweat, and Tears. Writing workshops help creative voices speak. Meeting in person to do meaningful work offers the chance to share, grow, and feel energized. In this three-part series, we will promote strong bonds for the attendees, facilitating the connections, networks, and safe spaces that help writers to thrive. By merging writing with outreach, we can create geographic and social connections between communities. There is documented evidence that writing in community strengthens the social fabric. Currently an eight-piece unit led by guitarist Chris Vachon, the band has never sounded fresher or stronger. Singer Phil Pemberton brings his sweet and soulful vocals and adds another bright new dimension to the jazzy, jump-blues musical roots. Their winning combination of jump, swing, blues, R&B and soul remains their calling card, as does their ability to fill the dance floor.
