First Time Homebuyers Class

Myself - Raymond Lambert Jr, and a local realtor Manuel Pagan offer a free first time homebuyers class to local communities throughout Rhode Island and South Eastern Massachusetts. We go through all the steps of how to buy a home from pre approval, searching for a home, underwriting, and closing. It is an entirely free class offered in english and spanish. I am a Mass Housing lender.  Manuel is a licensed agent in the state of Massachusetts. The classes we have held in Rhode Island have been popular and productive, and a valuable community service. We advertise the class, through social media, targeted google pay per click ads, and physical paper flyers that we offer to local businesses. Thursday, August 29, 2024 Doors 7pm | Show 8pm Dub Apocalypse is an instrumental dub reggae band from Boston, MA. Band members are Tommy Benedetti-drums,Van Martin-guitar,Johnny Trama-guitar,Aaron Bellamy-bass,and Timo Shanko-sax/bass. The band came together in 2007, led by drummer Tommy Benedetti and guitarist, Johnny Trama.Tommy Benedetti is one of the founding members of American Reggae Pioneers,John Brown's Body. He brings a wealth of experience from the reggae/dub scene to the table,having recorded albums for the legendary Shanachie Label, John Zorn's Tzadik Label (mixed by Bill Laswell),and is currently with John Brown's Body on Easy Star Records. This history is combined with almost 2 decades of International touring,as well as backing some of the giants of Jamaican music, including The Meditations and Justin Hinds.

This is an interactive workshop. Each participant creates a beautiful, versatile piece of wearable art while learning about the textile history of New England and around the world. The shows will take place on the fantail deck of the USS Massachusetts, an OUTDOOR SHOW. One is at 6:15 PM and one is at 9:00PM. Doors for the first show will open at 5:15 PM. Rain Date: In case of unsafe weather on Saturday, the show will be rescheduled to Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 6:15 PM. If the in-climate weather continues into Sunday 9/1/24 the event will be moved inside the Maritime Museum at the Battleship Cove in Fall River.  Ray Harrington (Conan, Hulu) is performing. Ray is an infectiously charming comedian who performs across the globe with hilariously irreverent material and marvelous improvisational riffing that embraces the uncomfortable and the absurd with a smile.
