Samantha Charles, a recipient of FRACC's 2024 Ignition Fund Grant brings her vision to life at the Ignition Space’s 1923 Room. This exhibition is an open diary that Samantha is sharing with the world. It explains how she’s come to love art through her family and friends and invites others to use art as an outlet to navigate their thoughts and emotions. Learn about Samantha’s story through her mixed-media art and how art doesn’t have to be perfect in order to be powerful or meaningful. This project is supported in part by FRACC through the TDI Creative Catalyst Grant. The Fall River Arts & Culture Coalition Program is administered by Mass Development and funded by the Barr Foundation.
Create a beautiful and festive winter holiday vase using paint, glitter, and decoupage techniques. We will paint repurposed jars, bottles, and vases for a "wintry" effect, then use crumpled tissue, torn paper, and other objects to create our own designs, and finish the project with ribbons, glitter, and other add-ons to make each vase unique! This workshop is led by Stephanie from the Craftyish Shop. All materials are free! This series is sponsored by the Friends of the Fall River Public Library.
