Event Series Anastasia The Musical

Anastasia The Musical

Little Theatre of Fall River 340 Prospect St, Fall River

From Tony Award winners Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty, and Lynn Ahrens—the acclaimed creators of Broadway classics like Ragtime and Once On This Island—comes the dazzling musical ANASTASIA. This breathtaking show sweeps audiences from the fading grandeur of the Russian Empire to the joy and vibrance of 1920s Paris, where a brave young woman embarks on a quest to uncover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer intent on silencing her, Anya forms an unlikely alliance with a charming conman and a lovable former aristocrat. Together, they set off on an unforgettable adventure to help her find home, love, and family. With its opulent settings, stunning costumes, and a soaring score featuring iconic songs from the beloved animated film—such as "Journey to the Past" and "Once Upon a December"—ANASTASIA is a spectacular musical about finding your identity, embracing the future, and discovering where you truly belong. It’s a celebration of hope, resilience, and the transformative power of love.

(“I was unhappy in college because it was a requirement for an intellectual, but then I went into show business and discovered that people won’t pay to be made unhappy, their kids will do it for free.”) There is the News from Lake Wobegon, a town booming with new entrepreneurs, makers of artisanal firewood and gourmet meatloaf, breeders of composting worms, and dogs trained to do childcare. But some things endure, such as the formation of the Living Flag on Main Street, citizens in tight formation wearing red, white or blue caps, and Mr. Keillor among them, standing close to old neighbors, Myrtle Krebsbach (“Truckstop”) and Julie Christensen (“Bruno, The Fishing Dog”) […]
