Celebrate friendship and community by joining the Church of the Holy Spirit and the Fall River Pride Committee at our second annual Friendsgiving dinner! Dinner begins at 3pm. The meal is completely free, and everyone is welcome to attend. We are also looking for volunteers! Helping with this dinner is a fun, friendly way to give back to the community and meet people in our area! If you would like to volunteer to cook, serve, and/or clean, we are requesting volunteers to arrive at 10am to start preparations; however, if you are unable to arrive at that time, we are accepting volunteers throughout the day. Add a little magic to your 2024 holiday celebrations with Dance Prism Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker! From snowflakes to sword fights to the Christmas tree that reaches the sky, The Nutcracker promises to delight the whole family! Dance Prism's production, celebrating its 41st season this year, is a fully staged professional production of The Nutcracker featuring lively choreography, Tchaikovsky's beloved music, and the traditional delights of this favorite holiday tradition — falling snow, a growing Christmas tree, and a cast of 120 professional dancers and ballet students. Dance Prism's "Nutcracker" offers an affordable family-friendly opportunity to celebrate the holidays with a production enjoyed throughout New England since 1982.  As a special treat after every performance audience members are invited to meet the characters for a photo opportunity. Enjoy not just one, but TWO very special storytimes featuring some visitors from the North Pole! On December 3rd, Santa himself will be the guest reader for a holiday storytime featuring an easy-to-make holiday craft and pictures with Santa. Children are invited to bring along their Christmas wish list to give to Santa as well! Then, on December 10th, Mrs. Claus will visit the library to share some of her favorite holiday stories and songs with all her young fans! An easy-to-make holiday craft will follow the event. Bring along your Christmas wish list and Mrs. Claus will make sure Santa receives it! Families are invited to attend either or both of these events. Registration is not required.
