UMass Dartmouth 2025 MFA Thesis Exhibition

The Ignition Space 44 Troy Street, Fall River

The UMass Dartmouth MFA Thesis Exhibition is a much anticipated and celebrated annual event showcasing the artwork of graduating Master of Fine Arts students from the College of Visual and Performing Arts. In 2025, the exhibition will take place in three locations from Saturday, April 5, to Sunday, April 27, all open to the public free of charge.  The main exhibition is at The Ignition Space, with the satellite locations at New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park and The Art and Design Studios in Dartmouth.

Co-fronted by multi-instrumentalist Suz Slezak with her raucous accordion and sublime fiddling along with the charismatic energy of David Wax, their on-stage chemistry is both captivating and intimate Since their early breakout as a buzz band at the revered Newport Folk Festival, the band has toured the world with their two young children in tow, performing at festivals in North America and Europe, and sharing stages with The Avett Brothers, Los Lobos, The Wood Brothers, Old 97’s, Buena Vista Social Club, Gregory Alan Isakov, Watchouse, Josh Ritter, and Guster, among others.
