Girl Scout Workshops

October 23 @ 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Junior Craft and Tinker/ Mechanical engineering: Paddle Boat Combo October 23
Join us at Battleship Cove as we paddle our way to perfection. Take a journey back in time to the days to the Old Fall River Line as we talk about the luxury passenger lines that carried people to and from Boston before there were any cars. Girl Scouts will create their own paddle boat to test and modify. Like the competition to build the fastest paddle boat one hundred years ago, you will be racing your boats. Open to Junior Girl Scouts. Both the Junior Craft and Tinker Badge, and the Junior Mechanical Engineering: Paddle Boat Badge, are included. This does not include touring of the ship as this is an after hours workshop. This is not a drop off workshop. No workshop fee for adults
Cadette Space Science Researcher November 20
Join us at Battleship Cove as we study one of the fastest things in the universe, light. Light travels for millions of miles, which we use to trace shapes in the night sky, or it can melt our ice cream. Girl Scouts will learn that there is more light than meets the eye and gain a deeper understanding of the light we use every day. Additionally, you will learn how your eyes work in low light and how to protect our skies from light pollution. Open to Cadette Girl Scouts. Cadette Space Science Researcher Badge included. **This does not include touring of the ships as this is an after hours workshop. This is not a drop off event. No workshop fee for adults.
Tickets for events are available HERE.
