FALL RIVER — After the pandemic canceled concerts and live entertainment for months, Fall River residents will get to take in free concerts at public
parks all summer long.
“This has been a tough year, the last 14, 15 months. People haven’t been together,” said Patrick Norton, executive director of the Narrows Center for the Arts.
Beginning July 7, there will be eight free, outdoor concerts in Fall River over the next eight weeks, taking place each Wednesday in one of four parks across the city — Griffin Park, Pulaski Park, Paul Poulos Park and Ruggles Park. Acts will include brass bands, a jazz group and a classical pianist.
